Power electronic components

With customized power electronics, we optimize the energy flow between the individual systems in the electric vehicle and beyond.

Whether it's a sophisticated 12 V electrical system or the connection of renewable energies with the electric vehicle, we open up new possibilities using customer-specific power electronics.

Power electronic components play a key role in determining the efficiency of energy transfer between individual components in electric vehicles. This requires low-loss conversion and sophisticated control. Meeting these requirements requires a thorough analysis of the entire system.

When commercially available systems don't meet your requirements, that's where Krebs' engineers come in. We leverage our broad portfolio of knowledge, experience, and solutions to provide ideal and reliable power electronic components for your system.

On-board network DCDC converter

Sustained high energy consumption or a short-term overload can place significant demands on the vehicle's electrical system. Not every on-board power converter is equipped for this demanding task.

Our on-board power converter can be manufactured modularly and according to specifications.

Parameter:
  • Continuous power: 1.2 kW (scalable in 400 W steps)
  • HV voltage: customer-specific parameterization
  • On-board voltage: customer-specific parameterization

Bidirectional, galvanically isolated DC-DC converter

With the help of the DC-DC converter, the battery voltage can be converted to an intermediate circuit voltage suitable for feeding into the grid.

DC-DC converter parameters:
  • Power: 11 kW bidirectional (22 kW under development)
  • Galvanically separated primary and secondary sides
  • Primary voltage (intermediate circuit): 700 V
  • Secondary voltage (battery): 100V (can be customized)
  • Overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature protection
  • Efficiency: 92%
  • Liquid cooling
  • Can be used as a charger with controlled primary voltage (intermediate circuit)
  • Communication interface via RS-232 or CAN bus
